In a unexpected partnership that breaks usual forecasts, Ubisoft has revealed an in-game collaboration between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the acclaimed anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, including complimentary bonus story content for Shadows players.

Mysterious Mission Revealed

According to the authorized release, "A strange confrontation pulls protagonists Naoe and Yasuke into a fresh quest, where hints of forbidden ceremonies and terrifying changes resonate through the obscurity." The narrative presents a "strangely attired woman named Ada" who charges the characters with journeying into the Gemstone Grotto—a important location from Attack on Titan—to rescue her friend from a hidden sect.

The questline concentrates on "strange experiments and a monstrous foe" and is available to all players who have acquired the Yasuke character.

Familiar Settings and Changes

The preview showcases the Hidden Temple from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was formerly where the Reiss royal family handed down the Founding Titan ability through eras. The teaser ends with a striking sequence showing a character, presumably the prisoner, morphing into a Titan that towers over Naoe and Yasuke.

Unique Prizes and Extra Content

Players who accomplish the adventure will receive an special katana in addition to multiple objects concealed throughout the area in hidden chests. The update also includes in-store Attack on Titan item packs, featuring:
